About me

Hi! I'm Malika

I am a UX Researcher, a graduate student in Human-Centered Design and engineering at the University of Washington, and a creative problem-solver.

I worked with a startup on an activity-tracking and habit-building app, where I designed features centered on people, their goals, and their well-being.

Before that, I interned at an AI startup, where my research redefined existing product concepts and helped with new product strategies. It was the moment when, after four years of designing space and experiences, I made a deliberate shift to UX research and strategy, driven by my passion for facilitating greater impact through active empathy-building and evidence-based decision-making.

My purpose is deeply rooted in understanding and representing human needs, advocating for human-centered design, and prioritizing ethical research practices in all my work.

I love to go outdoors, hike and ski with my family, play the piano, and travel to the ocean, Asia, and Europe.
